IT’S EVEN HARDER WHEN YOUR TEACHER IS JOE MILLER.
His own school district disciplined him for how he treated students. His own coaching evaluations documented a temper problem, year after year. Read the record below.

Chapter One
Joe Miller spent years in our local schools as a golf coach. In that role, the people who supervised him wrote down the same thing, year after year: when something doesn’t go his way, he loses his temper and refuses to take accountability.
At a 2009 tournament, multiple accounts say Miller repeatedly called the PGA professional running the event “an idiot” in front of coaches and players. Other coaches described the confrontation as “pre-meditated and planned.” His official evaluation flagged the outburst as an “embarrassing situation for the school district” and said he “struggles with accountability” and “always passes the blame to others.”

Chapter Two
The Firelands School District formally disciplined Miller for what he said to students in class. The district’s signed findings state that he called girls who dance a certain way “whores” and said they were painted with “the same slutty brush,” and that he didn’t want his foreign exchange student seeing “all the slutty girls from Firelands.”
The district concluded he created a “hostile and offensive environment,” disparaged students “based on gender,” and violated the state’s educator conduct code. Miller was removed as student council advisor. The district warned him that another incident could get him fired.
